Charles Alfred Rentz of McKinleyville said final goodbyes to family and friends on May 11, 2008, following a brief hospital stay. A native of Oregon, he lived many years in Humboldt County.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of McKinleyville; son Lary and family of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter Rise and family of Bayside; granddaughter Cari and family of San Francisco and grandson Patrick and family of Idaho.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.

Family requests that any memorial tributes be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. or related charity.

Arrangements were under the care of Cooper Mortuary, Eureka.
