Arcata Main Street will host a series of workshops for businesses called "Retail Therapy." The class will be led by Julie Fulkerson, the former owner of Plaza Design and a founding member of Arcata Downtown Business Community. The workshops will be held in four sessions beginning Sept. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Hotel Arcata in the banquet room. The workshop costs $10 per business and includes up to three guests. Depression, The Way Out

An eight-week Depression Seminar will be offered by the Eureka Seventh-day Adventist Church beginning on September 8 at 7 p.m. Dr. Neil Nedley, author of "Depression, The Way Out," has developed an eight-week program focused on brain health and what a person can do to treat depression. 9/11 Memorial Parade

A 9/11 Memorial Parade will be held Thursday, Sept. 11 at 12:30 p.m. on Main Street in Fortuna. The community is welcome to participate, and can bring an American Flag to carry in the parade. The parade will start at the city parking lot on N Street, and end at the Veteran's Memorial Building, where a ceremony to honor the victims of September 11, 2001 will be held. Hike on the Dolason Prairie Trail
