Pest management workshop

Hardwood floors have gone from being covered to craved — but cleaning is still a mystery. “In the ’50s and ’60s, everyone was covering the hardwood floors in old houses,” said Mike Jurkovich, owner of Eureka Floor Carpet One. “They got tired of getting on their hands and knees to wax, strip, wax and polish. It was an awful lot of work.”

Reclaiming my messy dresser for the new year

Although my dresser looked like that of a barbarian, I assure you I’m anything but. I was raised to fold my clothes so they wouldn’t wrinkle, turn my shirts right side out and use separate drawers for different types of clothing.
